Dekups set up

I just picked up a Dekups kit and want to get it going onto my PLUS. The instructions state that I have to remove the little O ring that is in the body of the gun where the cup would thread into. Is this right? Will the Dekups adapter seal properly without it?

No idea on Dekups I can look them up tomorrow and let you know. Or perhaps another will chime in
