i was just going to say a similar thing. i was at my brothers place last year starting my first project and didn't even think of air. i had the wrong guns with no filtering but at gun with too little air. it was a nightmare spraying the primer but i didn't know better. had allot of wasted material and had to sand out bad orange peel just to get somewhat flat and then i started rubbing through.

i was stuck with what i had and ended up using another 110 compressor after getting some filtering. it was like night and day.

since its a money thing maybe you could get a used compressor that will allow this to work with the gun you got. otherwise there are guns out there that use less air and also are higher quality than the harbor freight junk. i will never use those again because of parts exploding air and leaking paint in the middle of a few jobs. they were awesome value until that happened.
