I have a new 60gal compressor and looking to setup an air line system in my garage. The max length is going to be sloped ~22 ft for the longest run (I know 25 ft is probably the minimum).
I am going to run 3/4 inch copper that will T at the end of the run to (a) hose reel that will run random air tools (b) a water drain and (c) an HVLP setup.
My questions are:
1-Where should the regulator be? just after the shutoff valve on the compressor? My thought would be to have a small gauge at my gun.
2-What are some good options for a dryer/filter going to my spray gun?
3-Do I really need a filter going to my hose reel? First thought is to have main line split to filter setup on one leg and direct to hose reel on another leg. Issues?
Any other thoughts?

I run black pipe, so make sure the copper you use is rated for the system. |
