Hello Everyone,
I just ordered a Devilbiss SRi Pro Lite mini gun and it comes with a HVLP cap and 1.2 fluid tip. It looks like the tech sheets recommend a 1.0 tip for base coat. The 1.0 tip and needle cost about another $80 or so. Do you guys think I'll notice a differance between the 1.2 that comes with it and the 1.0? I plan to use it on the dash, jambs, engine compartment and any tight areas.
Thanks for you advice ~ Lenny B
Is there much differance between a 1.0 and 1.2 fluid tip?

Lenny I think you'll actually be happier with the 1.2 on that gun. Just keep your travel speed consistent; you'll be fine.

1.2 is kind of like a standard for mini guns at the minute. if you need a smaller tip just wind the fluid needle in a bit.
i use 1.2 for base and clear on SATA 4400 and is amazing Check out my Refinishing channel below!

I just got the same gun and used it for the first time last night.
Its amazing how much better I am at painting with a quality gun vs the Harbor Freight one I have been using. |
