I have noticed a small amount of corrosion/rust on some bolts and battery terminals.
I am wondering in general what product would you recommend using to get rid of rust/corrosion and also protect/seal the components so they don't develop rust/corrosion in the future (or at least the stuff that would slow the corrosion process down the most )

Would the product be different for different metals ?
Would it be different for different temperatures ?
Would it be different for different substances it comes in contact with ? (auto or home or boat )

Any help would be great as there is a ton of different products to uses to prevent or remove corrosion/rust on the market.
( The key here is a great product that doesn't harm some other component in the processes)

This site may help you, valugard.net This is the company that supplies most of the car companies with anti-corrosion materials, and has a fair "primer" regarding corroison on the site.
