If your blend is looking different by the angles you're looking
at it, that sounds more like the "flop" is the problem.
The color may be right, but the flop of the color is where
looking at it at different angles changes the hue or color.
The flop is hard to control on some of the metallic colors
of todays cars, and how you spray it makes a huge difference.
Wether spraying wet or dry, with fast or slow reducer.
There's also additives just for flop control.
It's a constant battle for me and I don't know the answer but thought
you might want to hear about flop.
Is it possible to avoid halo'ing with metallic silver paint?

"flop" is right. i'm leaning towards just keeping the car, which from others i've seen may be one of the best put together at either of the local dealerships. the 2 japan built identical models left for me a lot to be desired in the fit & finish department, which i find shocking. don't know what's going on there. meanwhile, on other forums i'm cautioning anyone with this accord tail light paint chipping problem to think long and hard about just touching up the chips and fixing the tail light spacing themselves, rather than let the body shop mess with their factory paint.

take that **** back and tell them you want it redone. Thats not blended at all. .............

the repair work has been done twice, and is not at all acceptable. You need to insist that your car has been devalued by the repair attempts, that it has too many mils of paint on it now and that you want a new car with no money out of pocket.
I don't know what state you are in but if you are close to having a lemon car that they will HAVE to take back! Maybe you should let them fix it again and when it is not an ok repair (you know that it will not be ok) then you may be able to turn in the car and get a new one under the lemon laws. check this link and do some research about the lemon laws in your state. Though you have a great attitude about it all this isn't acceptable. I would
insist on another car or some meaningful compensation; not sure what though. On the Japanese vs US made thing, either can be somewhat "better" than the other. Part prices on US built models can be significantly cheaper by more than half. You'll appreciate that down the line... Domestic models do seem better and have come a long way for sure. But part prices can be ridiculous... Still, overall, Japanese makes are better. And they deserve all the accolades given. Yada yada... A man can do all things if he but wills them.
