I used ********** universal clear for the first time last week. Clear layed out nice and smooth, but a week later I can still indent it with my finger nail. I cut and buffed a panel, but when I go to clean off the compoud with my microfiber cloth, the cloth scratches the clear. Can anyone tell me if this is normal for this clear? If so how do you go about buffing without scratching.

I did reduce it about 7%, is that a no no with this clear, if so what needs to happen now. Do I need to reshoot clear? 1 part clear 1 part activator, 7% reducer

How about a little more information.
Is this the Universal Clear?
Which activator?
What temperature?
What reducer?
How many coats?
How much flash time between coats?

Yes it was universal clear. Mixing was pretty much straight forward 1:1. I used normal activator, normal reducer, 3 coats of clear, 25 min. flash time between coats .shop temperature was 65 to 70 degrees.
I have the car wetsanded with 1500 grit now. If I leave the clear sanded and heat the shop up will this help this situation, or do you think I should reclear the car. The car has not been in the sun as it has been cold and snowing the past week here.

You said earlier you reduced it. The reason I asked for details is because something is obviously wrong and it is impossible to help you find out without know every step you took and the products you used.
For instance: a shop temperature of 65-70 should be adequate but if you quickly heated a freezing garage to 65 then the metal could still be 40-45 degrees.
I use ********** all the time and have never had a single problem with it. In fact I usually have to "slow it down" so it has time to flow out before hardening.

How old was the activator? Had it been opened before you used it for another job? Other than that,,I dont know.
