Help. Cracks every where after applying primer. This is my first attempt of painting a car. Do I bondo these areas or use putty?

what kind of primer is that and how hot was it when you painted the primer
in the immortal words of Frank Sinatra "That's Life"

Looks like you sprayed over a bunch of defects. Were the problems there before you primed?

Im sorry,,,but its times like this that I have to laugh.............................

You should spend a LOT more time on your preparation before you apply your primer. Im not sure,,,but it looks like the surface should have been striped first. If you need to P.M. me and Ill help you.

It looks like he's also got a bunch of trash in his paint. Or is that just dust nibs that he didn't sand off?

I don't see cracks, I see trash and rag lint.

^^ there's some levels that are higher than the others. I will have to sand down the hood again.

is there a quicker way than using a palm sander? the primer coat on the hood is pretty thick..

if the primer is thick like you say i would sray some black guidecoat on it and start blocking with 80 grit on a long board, all your lows will show up and then you can reprime!

your buggy is 3/4 of a mile in front of your horses.

You didn't take care of any of the trash dents dings scratches before you primed.

This is how it should have went

1. Wash with warm water and body shop safe soap.
2. Rinse
3. Wipe with 2 different rags with wax and grease remover 1 to wipe wet one to wipe dry
4. featheredge chips/blemishes
5. apply filler to areas needing to be filled
6. level filler 80 then 180
7. after body work is done using a interface pad 320 everything nice and smooth
8. seal the hood with a sealer
9. prime the hood.
10. sand the primer smooth using guide coat
