Hello all,
I'm after some guidance, I have a spitfire with surface rust bubbling the paint and want to repair it, what is the procedure to do so to make sure it doesn't come back.
is it a case of:
1. flap disc the area
2. sand blast any rust that might be pitted
3. tape off and epoxy prime area
4. 2k primer
5. flat primer
6. colour
7. clear
is that correct ? or should something be applied to the rust area before epoxy?
has anyone used hydrate 80? could this be used?
Thanks in advance

Don't use any rust converters, just prep the bare metal and paint. See the sticky topics in this forum for details on prep.
