Greens are notoriously known for their inherent translucency and lack of coverage, whether auto or various art paint. Buy a cheaper line like Omni and the coverage is atrocious. Some other hues have translucent characteristis too.

You can use a white sealer, but like was mentioned earlier, red will cover faster over a dark grey sealer, I'd go that rout if I was you
