painting a fox body mustang and would like to color match the black rubber body molding that runs along the beltline.
What best method for painting?
My plan was scuff with gray pad, adhesion promoter, epoxy primer, then mask off molding and epoxy and 2k prime the rest of the door in order to keep the high build primer off the molding. unmask and topcoat the whole door. Anyone have a better plan? please advise if any of these steps are unnecessary or if I've missed a step. Want it to stick the first time.

Thanks
Bill

(It's not custom painting-it's custom sanding)
