Hi everyone:
I live here in Montreal canada, and you know in winter its cold cold. I am starting to learn auto spray painting in a DIY way, so I wana know if its -10c outside and if I go in a paint shop, how long should I wait ( what should be the temp of auto body) before spraying my base coat, inside the paint sop the temp is generally 20c.
Also how long one should wait after spraying clear to drive the car out of bodyshop, when outside temp is as I said is -10c.
Painting in shop when its very cold outside.

You will need to invest in an infrared non-contact thermometer. I use one like this: http://www.amazon.com/Raytek-MT6-Non-co ... hermometer
The metal temperature should be above 50 degrees F before you spray and stay there for at least 4 hours after you spray. Remember that flash times increase with lower temperatures. Most of the recommended flash times are figured at 70 degrees F. 1968 Coronet R/T
