I'm scouring the web, reading all I can, and I came across this. My cheapo guns that I bought came with that filter flipped over the other way when I first tore them down to clean them before I used them...with the little pointy piece (handle?) going INSIDE the gun, and it's a real mother to get out. Which way is right? Does it even matter? I can't help but wonder, if it's supposed to look like this picture, if I'm not having an air flow issue from it being inside the gun. Haha...someone PLEASE tell me this is why I suck at spraying primer.

Pitch it....it probably is the "bottleneck" of your problems. You strain stuff in filter cones going in to your gun, no internal filter needed.
