Hi everyone, I am painting at a shop and sometimes I will get a lot of these little fisheyes. I've been trying to figure out the problem. I've tried everything, longer flash time, not dumping clear on the panels, etc. if you guys have experienced this problem and found out whats causing it I would like to know! Pictures below

Do they detail by you? Do you paint with shop supplied air or your own compressor? Your air dryer or separator clean?

X2 with the above post. How are you prepping your surface before paint? You can try using final wash prior to paint, it can help with issues like this. Also what temp are you spraying in? It doesn't look like solvent popping to me, something is contaminating the surface. If there's ANY silicone product used in the shop, it can cause this as well.

Also, if fish eye eliminator was ever sprayed in the booth, you kind of always have to use it. So that's another possibility.

I have the same issues, identical in appearance from what I see in pics, flash time between my coats of clear has increased and issue is almost non existent at this point.

That looks like contamination and mostly likely from your air supply.

Try spraying air from your painting hose set up through a clean white cloth. Make sure you let it spray for at least as long as a walk down the side of a car. The cloth should be perfectly dry with no specks or discoloration.

Doesn't look like Fish eye to me looks like AIR ENTRAPMENT

Fish eye leaves an opening down to contamination level most always.
