I've got a '70 C10 that's got metal door panels that I had to do some patch work to, because I'm not good enough at metal finishing they have filler in them now and have been epoxy primed. I talked to a local paint rep and he suggested a Sikkens product, Rally Black, but at $140 for a quart kit are there any other alternatives? I'd also like to paint my steering column and seat frame with the same paint. I've used rustoleum (probably frowned on in here) on inner fenders and frames before and liked the way it looked, but feel like maybe I should paint the interior with something different. Any suggestions? Whatever I put down needs to be fairly durable since it'll be seeing wear and tear.

PPG AUE satin black, about 90 bucks for a gallon setup with hardener. I use it on all my restorations. Dries fast, lays out nice and is very durable. It is in their commercial line which never gets any mention on these sites. PPG has a bus color deck from which to choose various sheen of black. No sense spending four times as much for SEM Hot Rod black or others.
