I've got some wheels with some pretty bad curb rash. I'm confident in my ability to repair the wheels using bondo, and then base/clear them. My only concern is the tire mounting. Is a properly primed, based, and cleared wheel going to chip when the mount the wheel? Are there certain products or techniques I should use to prevent this?

Thanks

I custom paint wheels all the time. Have never had a issue. I do not put much paint on the out side lip where the machine may hit.
