I'm currently painting the same car as in this video:

Anyway - debating whether to remover the door handles.... they're currently matched to the factory color and of course I want to keep them that way when the car gets painted. In the video posted here they've kept them on, I would think the paint could clog up the mechanisms? Strangely, they've taken the side scoops off too.... I've heard that it's very hard to match panels you spray seperately.... especially with a tricoat, which will be the case with my car

i would remove the handles because there is risk of paint peeling around there. no paint wont clog anything inside. if you want to leave them on i would at least at a minimum take them loose prep behind them with 800 without burning through then replace them. but if you want a nice job remove them
