Hello everyone,
I am almost ready to spray my whole car a different color (Kandy Tangerine) and really want to try and get all pieces of body metal painted evenly. I have a 94 RX7 and got a question about painting the fenders, front bumper, and rear spoiler separate. I am pretty new at painting and feel more comfortable to take these body pieces off to paint than leaving them on and try to cover everything.
So with all that said, will it be ok to remove these pieces and paint separately? Would I still get a good even color depth painting the body separate than the other pieces?

The fenders will need to be on for sure. hard to know if you could match the bumper. Depending on your experience painting kandy

I figured as much. I will most likely have to just fund a painter to paint my car. I painted my engine bay which turned out real good but kind of nervous to do the outside. The paint I used was House of Kolors Shimrin2 / S2-KBC08

ok that is a Kandy base coat. more like a triple stage and not a true kandy. little easier to spray. what base color are you using ?

I used a jet black base coat as recommended by HOK. Here is a pic of my engine bay so far. I only had a quart so had enough for only two coats. They recommended 3 to 4. So I will have to adjust when painting the body.

if you paint hood and fenders on your car... hard to say because i dont know your experience level and advice in this situation could go either way. kandy basecoats as i said are easier than a true kandy. comes down to if you would be happy or not with the end result if you paint yourself. just know you are into a area of paint that a lot of professionals cant even do properly. if you decide to do it yourself let me know i can go further in depth about what do to and what not to do

You can remove the front bumper and rear spoiler, but I'd leave the fenders in place.
That's a small car and relatively low, so should be easy to paint. But as was stated, go
with how confident you are with your experience level.

Personally, by the looks of your engine bay I'd give it a try...
