I'm having a car restoration done and I'm trying to settle on a color. I could walk onto a car lot and pick a current popular color with a definite paint code but I'd rather not. Id like to pick some colors I like from internet pics and try to match them. The guys I'm using for the restoration (hundreds of miles from me) told me that they use Spies Hecker paint. Is there a way I can get pain chips or small batches of paint to sample?
Thanks.
How do I go about getting pain chips or test sprays?

Any local auto paint & body supply store should have chip books for you to look through. If it isn't a Spies dealer, the codes should cross reference.
From there, I would recommend that you have your shop spray out a test card to confirm that it is the color you would like. |
