I have a question about filler/build primer for a flexible part. The valance for the car I'm working on is showing it's age. I have a LOT of road rash and scratches.

Here it is after 2 coats of adhesion promoter and 3 coats of epoxy primer. I intend to wet sand this and see how bad all the scratches look after the wet sand. I don't want to use build primer on this if I can avoid it since flexible parts tend to crack with anything other than epoxy, or so I'm told.

So if the part is still exhibiting deep scratches after the wet sand, what are my options?

Great minds...

I was just researching that online. It appears to be very flexible based on a YouTube video I found. Thanks for pointing me to it.

Yep, Poly flex will do just fine on that. Even thought it's plastic, it won't flex that much. 74/75 Firebird?

74 bird. You can't find these darned valances (OEM) and the reproductions are not good I'm told so I'm trying hard to save this one.

Suprisingly, almost all of the scratches and dips sanded out. I've still got some minor gouges but I think they're small enough that I can use some spot filler and not have to worry.

God, I'm tired of sanding stuff. :knockout:
