Hello!

I am in the middle of restoring a 74 MGB GT. The PO had some fun with a dent puller on the front fender and it's up to me to fix their mess. I don't weld, but what do y'all think about this damage? Maybe flatten and then use some body filler to smooth it out as best I can. It does not have to be perfect (its an MG, nothing is perfect), but I would like to get it at least concealed before its painted. I am not new to wrenching but very new to body work. I was thinking of using a small ball-peen hammer to tap it down.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

yoni

JayD it's the nose of the left drivers fender.

Have someone weld that up. Maybe cut some new metal in. Whatever you do don't leave those holes there. It will bubble and rust faster than you think.

AH, i see it now. as Dave said get someone to do some welding for you, use a wire welder. should be easy and quick. the proper thing to do would be to cut out some or all of it and form new pieces and weld them in .
