Bodywork

I'm looking for abit of advice on how to restore my bodywork to what it was before it got crashed into in a car park! (BMW 120 is my car).

I have sent damage to the wheel arch on the front leg, and paint removed from the door and side panels (pictures on this post).

What would you advise on how to get this back to normal? I do have a small pot of paint, so is there any way to smooth it down before painting?

Thanks, Paul.

Take it off the ceiling first.

Damage to guard, door and quarter? That's respray the whole side. Probably a bit more paint than you have. Take it to a repair shop and have them do it. Claim on your insurance if you can.

Those damaged areas need to be stripped to the metal and
filled with body filler, blocked out and primed and blocked again
before paint. Blend the color out and clear the entire panel.
I like to use a stud welder to pull the dents out a little after stripping.
It's always a bigger job than it looks, when done right.

Here's some pictures showing these steps for even a small repair
on a wheel arch.

(It's not custom painting-it's custom sanding)
