I have a gallon of primer and it's tough to stir because it's in the rectangular shaped jug with the smaller opening; like a jug of acetone. Last time it was tough to stir with the stir stick because of the small opening. Any tricks to this? Sorry of this sounds stupid. I googled it and couldn't come up with anything. I figure if I shake it a while before it should help, but it's not the big round jug like rustoleum comes in.

if your not going to use all of it take it to a paint store and have them shake it, then buy a regular one gal. can usually .50 or free. or you could put some AC/DC on your sound system turn the can upside down and shake, shake, shake .

It was hot today so the primer went on pretty dry with rough texture... Plenty of wet sanding to do. Next time I'll have it shaken at a paint place to mix it better. It fought me start to finish today but I'm hoping the base goes on better tomorrow. Might get the clear on as well.
I tried the upside down shaking thing for quite a while, but the solids at the bottom were so thick, I just couldn't get them all suspended in the mixture. The mixing stick wasn't a whole lot of help either, barely fits through the top. |
