Hi.

Im planning to repaint my car. Its an BMW e60 and the original color is dark blue. I want to add more depth to the paint and make it look more towards a candy paint. Would it be possible to mix candy concentrate straight into the base coat? Like, i mix the base after the recipe, and the add some blue candy aswell.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes you can do this; that's actually what candy is, a mix of color and clear and
applied as a mid-coat. However, don't add color to the last (2) coats of clear.
They must be straight, pure clear to get the crisp, deep candy look.

Since you're doing this as a home-brew, I'd do a couple of mixes and test them
with spray outs before actually painting the car. That way you'll have no surprises
and get the look you want.

Correct. I want to add the kandy directly into the base coat if possible.

I will do some tests and see what works the best.

Any recommendations to where i should order the Kandy concentrate?

Personally, I think you will lose the effect of the candy by adding directly into your base coat.
They make an inter-coat clear which is basically a clear base that you can add the candy to and then apply a couple of coats to get your effect.
As stated above you want at least two coats of straight clear on top and I would go three coats if you plan to cut and buff.

Do some testing with the candy over the base.
