Back again with some more followup questions.

I think i have decided that except for the edges of the hood, etc as i described in earlier post, paint is ok,, i did get some touch up paint in the cars orig color , dynasty red,, still have nt decided if i will do it, but, another thing i think i noticed is, I dont believe there i any clear coat on this. i mean that it just seems to scuff easily, not like my 2005 duramax,, is seems to have a clear coat. like on furniture,, when you scuff it,, the stain is unblemished but he poly is scuffed... my car is about he same,,

can the car be just clear coated,, ? sanded down with 800 or so, then clear coated,, ?

probably acrylic enamel baked on if original, no clear. yes you should be able to spray urethane clear over it, you need to scuff it up or in a few months it will blow off going down the hi way. go around and touch up all the chips and so on then sand them smooth with some 600 then clear the complete car as you were thinking. PS. as long as its not a metallic red.
