I use to have a bumper repair business 10 years ago. I haven't painted since then but I am looking to get back in...

I want to use envirobase. I have all right setup for it. I went to a ppg dealer and asked for pint of J7...

He gave me hard time saying they don't sell envirobase to walk in customers. Finally after alot of hassle they agreed. They charged me $85 for code A pint and $20 for gallon of the reducer. Earlier in day I went to cromax dealer and they gave me same hard time. However they wouldn't sell me waterborne only solvent.

Is this normal? They would only mix a pint smallest size. Pricing seems high.

It's not just you.... seems like we are "nobody" to a lot of jobbers. They want production shop business and the small guys are just getting squeezed out. So they make you pay....and pay.... and pay.....
