That is what I've heard. Also I thought it might be a bit simpler and quicker even though I already have a gallon of clear but that can be used on another project. I only primed what you see in the picture (same on the other side of the cab) so it's not a huge deal to sand and re prime that considering I still have the roof, doors, fenders, hood and bed to do.

lacquer primer is ok to use if you know how to use it. i use it have been for years on certain stuff. you cant pile it on.

Thanks. There's one dull spot about a foot long on the pillar, I think there was a shadow and I didn't notice it while spraying. Can I just recoat spot or is that a bad idea now that its been 3 days? I haven't unmasked it yet and have a couple trim pieces i'd like to spray. Also how long is mixed paint good for in a sealed container?

yeah respray it. basecoat good forever. if it has hardener check your tech sheet for pot life
