Hello all. Please forgive me as I'm sure I am about to ask a noobie question, but I have done small paint jobs before. Nothing major. But I have a 2009 Dodge Charger R/T and someone done a terrible job painting my trunk. I want to do this to my trunk. http://m.ebay.com/itm/121047698275
I need to repaint the trunk and I am just going to do it myself. I would like to paint that instead of a sticker.
So my question is after I lay my base down of red and then do the strip of black. I would like the red glossy and the black matte. Is it safe, on the panel to clear the black with matte and the red in glossy or would that cause my clear to peal later down the road?

you would need to paint and clear your complete trunk red.
when cured mask where you want black scuff 800 grit spray black and matte clear. you will be at risk of your edges peeling if you dont scuff well around the edges. Experienced Trained Certified
