I'm going to be spraying PPG ALK-200 with ALK-201. Here is a link to the direction sheet http://englishcolor.com/ecs_-_ecucitc/LIC_CPC_files/ALK200%20TDS.pdf

So does the "Dry to touch 2hr" mean I have to wait 2hrs between each coat? This seems very excessive.

You're just not use to reading spec. sheets like this..... go down to where it says Application and it says...
Apply:
2 full wet coats
Flash 5 – 10 minutes between coats (if needed)

It is the flash time between coats that you must observe, then you are done, with no more touching of the coating for that 2 hour period. So.....
First coat
Flash time
Second Coat
Metal, wood, fiberglass, we work it all... www.furniturephysicians.com We can restore the irreplaceable!

I would add that Flash Times are set for ideal temperatures and conditions so take the longer 10 minute length of time and treat it as a minimum. After you have watched a coat of paint flash off (solvent evaporating) you will be able to tell when its ready.

Yeah I totally missed that. Thanks! Here in CO the humidity is usually 15-25% so paint seems to flash pretty quick, but I'll make sure and wait the 10 mins. Thanks again

humidity actually dries paint faster. so here in colorado your flash times may stay open longer
