Nornal Rustoleum vs Automotive

Ive heard that the normal rustoleum spray cans will leech into the primer and make it unpaintable, which means stripping down to the metal. They also have the automotive line of paint, i cant seem to find a difference in the two enamels. Is the automotive stuff compatible with real auto paint? If not whats the difference. Thanks.

I don't know much about Rustoleum paints, but you could Google it and search for the MSDS sheet for both and compare the formulas. as far as using over any older finish or even its self is a crap shoot, it may work and it may not.
