I recently finished painting a John Deere with Nason. I want to now paint a combine head with some John Deere brand enamel I've had sitting around. I believe that it is alkyd enamel. I called the paint shop where I can my paint and they told me I can use the same reducer and even a little of the activator in the enamel. These would be Nason 441-21 reducer and 483-78 activator. Is this true?

you should be ok note I said should be. I've used the same reducer and activator in a different brand of synthetic enamel and it worked great. the activator will make it cure much faster.

Thanks. I thought they would want to sell me some mineral spirits or other simple reducer/thinner. They said if you have any of that Nason left over use it.
