51 chevy pu cab , front fenders, doors, and hood have body work completed epoxy spraye d and 2k primers sprayed. Currently wet sanding with 600 before base when suddenly I found a very small dent near bottom left front fender. I only have 24 hour window before base. Can I sand spot with 80 grit and then just spray epoxy over it? Thanks. I wo uldnt have missed that dent 10 years ago but guess these 70 year old eyes let me down.

If you're sanding the 24 hour window does not apply, adhesion will be a mechanical bond.

Scuff sand your dent with 180, filler work to eliminate dent, Final sand filler and surrounding area to eliminate coarse scratches ( I use 180 on filler and 240-280 on surrounding areas), reprime with 2k primer, allow to cure, block sand then on to 600 for base. If the dent is really slight you may be able to get away with just repriming and blocking it.
