So I just sprayed a tailgate black. It layer down nice. Only problem is I can see the sanding marks after it flashed. :knockout: a little history here: I sanded the tailgate with 180, did my body work, applied two coats of high build primer, block sanded it with 180, applied 2 coats of reg primer, block sanded with 320, 400, then 600. Sprayed the panel and I see sanding marks all over the panel. I'm wondering if I sanded down to the 180 scratches when I was block sanding and that's what's coming thru. I did get down to the original color in some spots while block sanding.
So here's my predicament, how do I fix this fiasco  ?
I was thinking I should sand down the base coat with 320, apply 2 coats of high build primer, and then block sand using 400, then 600. Your thoughts?

if you went over sanded primer and did not seal then that is probably normal

they should go away when you clear, is this a solid color ?

It is a solid color. I will sand it with 600 and try clearing it. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed.
