Limco is a great economy paint. I have used it on many customers who wanted to save money on their paint, I have never had a return yet on them. Color match is outstanding for economy paint compared to others. When I use Limco, I use the Limco Supreme. Everybody has a preference, but this is my oponion and experience with this economy paint. Hope this helps....

Limco Supreme? Is it the same as Limco 3 / urethane?

Limco LC4200 clear is excellent for the money.
I've tried around a dozen brands in the same price range ($100)
and this is by far the best clear. You can't go wrong here.

Most people have shy'd away from giving info on a econo paint brand
on this site, including me.
When someone asks about a specific brand they are usually only
wanting to hear "good things"

Even if a painter has years of experience and a paint failure
with a specific brand people don't want to hear it.
They will jump on the bandwagon and attack his or her credibility
and blame him for the failure, (they believe it can't be the paint)
It usually takes 3 years to see the quality difference in paint,
at least that's what I've noticed.
But most people think if it looks great after painting it must be good.
Most don't keep a car long enough to know.
They just don't want to recognise that there are quality
differences in paint.
So if you ask how good a econo paint line is you're only going to
get positive answers from people that are new to using it.
And the people that know better will remain quiet.
That is what people on this site want, agreement.

JCCLARK,

I've noticed people do shy away from giving their input on brands.
And yes, only positive remarks are wanted. It's wrong.

And although i am new, i will speak my mind and say what i feel.
It would be great if more seasoned painters give their input.
If one brand or line of paint can be good then another can be NOT
so good.

Paint failure with a specific brand after several years requires
it's own thread. And although there are many factors, it should
be mentioned. I would like to know. And who cares if a representative
of a brand is watching (as they are likely).

I would REALLY like to hear what seasoned pros here have to say,
rather, what line of paint is "junk" in their opinion.

I've had bad results Nason Clear, Five Star Xtreme, And some Transtar clear.
It's only been slightly over a year experimenting with different brands
and have yet to see long term results. But for initial quality, I do like
Limco LC4200. And from what another seasoned painter tells me,
it's also his choice of econo clear.

I'm sure there have been paint failures with any brand, but if
one line of paint seems to have more than others, i would like
to know. I'm here to learn.

You are absolutely right.

A side note:
There are people on here with many ficticious names and locations
that actually work for a company that sells a brand of paint.
I know of one guy sitting in a warehouse selling his product on
the internet and posting here and other forums most of the day.

It becomes obvious who they are when you do a search by a
brand and their name is there eveytime defending that brand
but yet they'll bad-mouth their competition. (dead give-away)
I wouldn't trust any opinion by a ficticious name or a person
that doesn't give their location.
I know that is unfair, just be cautious of what you read.
There are also people on here regulary posting advice as an
authority and yet hasn't painted anything in years.
As far as me, I'm going to start sending more personal messages
to people to keep myself out of the cross-fire.
And you'll know who I am, and where.
So anyone can check who I work for.
JC.

Haven't you learned yet?
