I'm gonna change out both quarter panel on my 69' mustang, due to rust and tons of bondo from a previous wreck. The passenger side needs a full quarter, no way around it. But the drivers side, from the middle of the wheel arch to the front is in good shape. Only the rear needs changing. Should I split it there and only change the rear section? Or just do a full panel replacement?

Hi john
Its up to u but I personally like saving as much original as possible myself. The cheap repop sheet metal is just that cheap the fit and finish just isn't their. It's just my opinion but they are only good for cutting up to make patch panels out of for saving an original panel but that's just my own opinion. Dennis B.

Depends on your welding skills. Less chance of warping with full replacement. Yet there is something to be said about keeping as much original steel as possible
