Can you use this wire to weld high strength steel? Also could you use this wire in a Lincoln SP135 welder using 100 percent argon? Just wondering if there's ways around the expensive welders and still capable of doing the job correctly. Thanks for all input ahead of time!

there`s another post here about silicon bronze,.. chevman has a link to metal shapers, click on that link , that should answer your questions

Silicon Bronze when TIG'd on steels is not welding, it is brazing. You will be gluing the base metals with the silicon bronze because the base metals do not melt and mix (nor should they) with Silbr, and it will always be of lower strength.

UTS is ~ 50-55ksi, and the YS is only 20-25 ksi, depending who makes it. Will it hold "high strength steel" panels together? Sure. But it will give WAAYYYYY before high-strength, or even plain old mild carbon steel gives.

You can use it in a MIG welder with 100% AR or 25/75 Ar/He mix. It is very soft, so consider using a spoolgun or holding the standard MIG gun cable assembly very straight so it doesn't birds-nest inside the welder.
