Hello all, new to forum.
I am preparing to restore a 83 240 volvo. I will attemping to repaint the entire car. Have some questions on sanding.
What is the best procedure on sanding the entire car?
I have a 4 1/2 grinder, and a 7in. polisher, sander.
Which would be the best? I would imagine that certain tools work for certain areas right? I just have no idea?
And the big question is what grit is the best for paint removal? I have read 80, but some say 30-40? Confuzed?
And, how much paint do I remove? All? Or get as much as I can.
Thanks for any help.....

If you have a 7" rotary I'd use 40 grit and go to town, leave bits of the final layer on there and finish it off with 80.
