some background information: i recently got into a car accident, involving a lamp post. the paint on the front bumper [near the passenger side] is considerably scratched; it is very noticeable. I proceeded to buy a can of spray paint for scratches, but the color is too light. now the bumper looks worse than it did before.

so, tips on how to fix this problem please. is it possible to remove the spray paint, or is my other option just to repaint the whole entire bumper? or is this just beyond repair?

help is greatly appreciated

For the most part spray paint is very thin. Light sanding sould remove it easily. I would repaint at least 1/2 of the bumper and blend it in. It is alot more work than a spray can but the end result is much better.
