I did a test on a single stage met. , using a fine gray scotch pad and then hit it with my buffer it turned out pretty nice. Anyone else ever try this
method??? I will be repainting the car and I might try it , what do you think? Thanks Dave

Single stage metallic has a VERY thin layer over the flakes. If you penetrate that layer, your paint job is shot or will be the first time it see any weather. Wet sanding is almost always out of the question. I wouldn't Scotch it unless it's really necessary and go pretty easy on the power buffing..
