I sprayed motorcycle parts more than 90 days ago with DuPont ChromaBase and ChromaClear. Sanded with 1500 and buffed with 3M Perfect-It and Finesse-It compounds on a wool pad. Color is the bright yellow used on a VW Beetle and I'm ready for more gloss.

Is wax the next step and if so I need recommendations.

I've read so many good things here about Meguiar's 105. I have two trucks to paint so I'll buy that when polish time comes. Both trucks are completely disassembled.

its your call. you could use a glaze followed by wax or a sealant. or justa wax. or a sealant.

im a megs products fan. the twins of 105 and 205 are an awesome combination for me.ive been reading some good things about meg m101 and might break down and try it.

I was using megs #26 wax and started using their #21 synthetic sealant. I read it gave longer protection that wax, but haven't been able to tell, so im goin back to the wax.

m205 is a polish.

Ditto on the 205. Good stuff.

Its always a good idea to use a fine cut polish like the Megs 205 or Mothers Finishing Polish which is in their newer Professional line of products.

The polish helps to remove any haze and swirls left behind from the compound.
