Hi There.
I, am new here and new on spraying. I have resprayed bonnet of my car. 1st time when I sprayed it was like abrasive then sand it down resprayed again it was fine. Then when I sprayed the clear coat there was shade lines. Can anyone tel me why? Please! However I have sand it down by 600 grits. Do you think 1 top coat would be enough? then spray the clear coat? The main problem is the lines of spray. Do you think I did not overlapped? If any one could help me, Would very much appreciated and obliged.

Thanks
Danny

You are most likely seeing uneven distribution of metallics in your base coat, which is now being highlighted by the clear coat.

Usually this is due to not holding the spraygun exactly perpendicular to the surface you are spraying. If you tilt the spraygun while you spray one end of the spray pattern will have a different buildup of metallics than the other end, which will cause this shadow or stripe appearance.
