I wanted to check to see if anyone has used these two products and what they think of them and how they compare. My local body guy LOVES the 3M and wants me to finish with it as apposed to using the MEG'S 205. I know the Meg's maintains it's abrasive quality the whole time, while the 3M gets less abrasive as you use it. I'm looking to finish buff / remove minor swirls on my '66 Mustang. Its painted with HOK candy, flake and UC-35 Clear. the color is a VERY dark black cherry with lots of red flake under the candy. I want to get it as clear as possible. What do you recommend? Many thanks! Mel

For clarity with no haze or swirl I use Menzerna Finish Polish PO85RD. This stuff doesn't dry out on you when polishing and you can look at the paint under direct sunlight and see no swirls or scratches. Not saying 3M stuff is bad but I prefer the Megs 105, 205 and then the Menzerna PO85RD.
You can read about it and purchase from here: http://www.autogeek.net/menzerna-final- ... o85rd.html 1968 Coronet R/T

Many THANKS! I just ordered it and I'll give it a try. I assume I can use a 3m blue foam (ultra fine) pad? Thanks again. Mel

Also check out the Megs 100 to replace the 105.
