I want a DA polisher, like the 7424XP.
Can you suggest one with significantly less felt vibration? That is, one which is much more comfortable.
And it would be nice if it's not terribly loud.
The others I've come across are:
G110v2
GG6
Thanks.

I have read good stuff on the flex xc3401 and meguiars g110DA polishers.
don't know, though about less vibration and comfort. it takes an aggressive throw to get the job done. I have been using the 7424 for quite a few years and find it to be comfortable and the vibration doesn't bother me. or you could do the job by hand. |
I just bought the GG6, it was on amazon's lightning sale for $50 off!

I have access to the mentioned polishers Porter Cable (PC) 7424 AP, the Flex XC3401 and the Rupes Bigfoot with a 21mm throw. Once you get the hang of using the PC DA polisher you will quickly outgrow it. It is weak in comparison to any others. The Flex is very good but not as quiet as expected but not loud by any means. The Rupes is awesome. With its 21mm throw almost twice of other DAs, it really gets the job done quickly. Downside is price. The Flex and Rupes are in the $350 to $400 range. The PC is about $150 or less. But don't throw away your PC if you buy a Rupes or Flex. Buy an upholstery and carpet brush attachment for the PC to clean interiors. I was just at SEMA and speaking to the Meguiars and Mothers people. The trend is to go to VERY BIG throws on DAs which we will see soon on new DAs coming to market. I don't they will ever replace the need for a rotary but with the bigger throws they may for some people.
