Hey guys, I painted my trunk lid and got a few VERY shallow fish eyes on it, can fish eyes be cut to make them diminished? I am OK if I can not remove them 100% but if I can make them less noticeable I will be happy.

I have the orange peel denim pads with Meguiars 105 heavy cut, I was hoping I can smooth them out a tiny bit with this method.

Fish eyes usually go to the bottom of the coat you were shooting, since there was some (surface) contamination that drove the paint away. But if you think they are shallow enough that you can sand them out, then sure. If a solid color SS. Metallics, no - you will shear the metallic particles and end up with tiny white specks all over.

You can also mix up some clear and dab the fish eye with a tooth pick.
