I'm at the final buffing stage now and there is some dried polish residue/splashes on the surface. What is a good way to remove this residue? Water works OK but I was wondering if there is a spray, like a spray detailer, that doesn't leave its own residue, wax, glaze etc. Also, what are some methods that are typically used to do the final cleaning and detailing?

Hey 69er... I use detailer spray, and I'm tight with money so when it gets half empty, I just top it off with water... I'll do this several times on one bottle... works good for me, but there's nothing wrong with just plain old water too

I found this:
http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/spr ... +ounces.do

Kinda expensive. Looks like it might be able to dissolve a little better than water.

Why spend on detailer sprays when soap and water work just fine?

Plain water is what I wound up using. A little rubbing and all cleaned up! Before I actually started the cleanup, the residue seemed like it was gonna be a bear to remove.
