I just painted my car base coat clear coat black PPG. When I finish wet sanding with 2000 grit, what compound should I use first. I have already bought 3M perfect-it II and 3M perfect it III. What should I use first? What second? What should I use as a machine glaze? Please help everyone tells me something different.

Hi,
I advise you to dowload the "3M™ Perfect-It™ III Paint Finishing System - Brochure (PDF 2.5 MB) " located in the 3M website (sorry, the link is a little long!):
http://products3.3m.com/catalog/us/en00 ... utput_html

This brochure explains the different steps involved and which products to use for each step (pastes and pads).
Basically, there are three steps: color sanding (wet 1500/2000 grit), compounding (polishing compound + wool buffing pad or compounding foam pad), and finally swirlmarks removal with a glaze + glazing foam pad.
Etienne :)
