Hi all,

Just painted my Mitsubishi GTO in 2k Orange, it looks really good but I had to do some touch ups in some areas and some bugs came and sat on it as I sprayed it outside.

How long after the paint has gone on is it ok to try and remedy these issues with buffing the paint? Should I try and sand some of the imperfections off then buff? What is a great product I can use that works well with 2k paint?

I have seen great results with Osren crystal cut medium cut compound but unfortunately it isn't available in New Zealand.

Kind Regards
James

Your product tech sheet should tell you the bake time or air dry time required before buffing, but if not then generally 24 hours would be safe. Sanding out imperfections and buffing is done all the time, tons of threads here on these topics.

Not sure what products are available to you in New Zealand. I would imagine 3M is; they make pretty good buffing compounds and polishes.
