Some vids show after the D/A polish step, using a Rotary buff again with a finishing pad.
Just want to understand this step. I presume it's after the typical 2 steps (cut & polish) of the D/A & uses a very fine polish.

If this is what's going on? Why is the Rotary needed over the D/A? Because the D/A pads have very little cutting ability & cant give an extra gloss that the rotary can?

thanks

Most use a rotary and get the same results.
After I cut and buff I go over it with a "swirl remover"
and a super soft pad. A polisher works really good for that but a rotary
does just fine.
The swirl remover does just that, gets rid of the swirls that are hard to see
after buffing.
Dark colors really show the swirls, especially out in the sun after
you wash it and get rid of all the fillers the compounds have in them.

Start with a rotary for compound and polish, it will cut faster and bring the gloss back faster.
After the polish on the rotary, move to the DA with swirl remover on a low speed.
Fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee.
