Which pads should I get? Where?

Discuss anything after that final masking comes off.

I lkie Mirror Glaze pads the best... IMO they are far superior to 3M.. Use the maroon pad for buffing compound and the yellow pad for polish/glaze... You should not need anything after this... I like 3M buffing compound/polish etc... just not their pads

well im on a tight budget..the 3m pads are like $25- $30 bucks each. Does brand actually matter? should i go with wool or foam for compound and can i use the foam again for machine glaze? i had a talk with the guy on the foam and got lost..

I bought the Meguiars pads for about $9 a pop and I thought they worked pretty well. Don't forget you need the backing plate too that screws onto the buffer. Nothing cheap about any of this...........but try paying a shop to do it. They make a compound/cutting pad and also a finishing pad...better get both.

Get a red foam pad from Mirror Glaze and use Diamond Cut Compound, then follow that with a yellow pad and use Dual Action Cleaner Polish... NOw set back and look at what you have done.. Looks great doesnt it??

have fun, and the mirror glaze pads are under 10 dollars a piece

well i got the harbor frieght one. It's not too bad, i won't be using it that often..maybe for this occasion only..well the paint shops closed today wayyyy too early..i didn't know so i couldn't get the pads..then i went to autozone and they had the viking car care brand wool pad and foam..for polishing..should i get those? would those work? or should i wait to get the other pads.
