I painted my car tonight after sanding it down, primering it.. blah blah ..
Came out great except it has the orange peel effect :(
Can i wet sand tremclad with a 2000 grit ? Its a semi-gloss black.
Do i buff it after?
Thanks for the help.

I dont think it is good to buff any semi gloss paint. It makes it TRY to shine and looks bad. Is this a non-catilized enamel?

Semi-gloss in any coating system is achieved by the addition of powdered soaps that diffract and break up the light. If you try to sand (that's leveling) and buff (that's polishing) you'll just burnish the surface and you're headed back to a "milky" looking high gloss, especially in black. When you have any coating finish system that is less than high gloss (semi-gloss, eggshell, flat, dead flat, etc.) that material is designed as the final finish effect. Usually any attempt at sanding or rubbing those effects is just going to start to gloss them up.
